the long-track tornado from march 12

i had to write something about it here because it was such a major event.

some people are talking about it being a record, à la tri-state tornado of 1925. perhaps, if only in its duration. see, this tornadic storm lasted for about 10 hours, maybe more. but in stark contrast to the one in 1925, it didn't kill hundreds.

don't get me wrong--one dead from a tornado is too many.

but i just shudder and wonder, had there been no spc, no nws, no radar, how much worse would this have been?

btw, i have some images posted about this one. it was amazing.
