Is it really January 7?

I can't quite believe this. A very strong, dynamic and moist system is currently affecting part of the southern plains states and Mississippi valley. The result? Tornado watches and warnings, including a seemingly neverending train of tornadic supercells near Springfield, MO. To boot, they've had confirmed tornadoes to the northwest of Chicago. Illinois.
