class 1, 2006

so this year's class looks to be a good one. keen, knowledgeable people. more streamlined classes. more organization.

to the newbies who are reading this blog for the first time: yes, i don't usually type using capitals. this isn't an official document, and i tend to type out in a stream-of-consciousness kind of way. it's not, like some have posited, that i'm trying to emulate e. e. cummings. i'm not that pretentious; i'm just lazy. hope it doesn't bother you too much. :)

Hey Dave, so how is the course going so far? How many students are in it this year? I had a lot of fun with the course last year and of course, especially with the trip! My favorite part of it was the border incident! JK. Actually, I loved the first day when we set off and chased all day in North Dakota and then stopped in Bismarck at Space Aliens when we all ate there. Isn't that also a COD chase tradition to go to Space Aliens? Make sure to take the course there this year! But yea, that was a lot of fun. Surely will be missed but it for sure won't be my last group chase but it was really fun to do it with fellow U of M'ers.

the course is going well. 7 students.

each day of the trip was special to me, in itw own little way. space aliens, the black hills, bowman, saskatchewan, the border.

COD tries to go to space alens every year, but they don't always make it. i think that if u of m is in fargo or bismarck, we'll have to make it a tradition to go there...
