unless you've been on mars (or not in winnipeg), you'll have noticed that the red river is very high.

this isn't good.

and unfortunately there's a chance things will get worse before they get better. this week a series of systems is forecast to traverse the northern plains and/or the southern prairies. if they hit the wrong spot with heavy rain, all that could be shunted into the red river basin, putting more pressure on winnipeg.

keep an eye out, folks. this one could get oogy.
