sooner

i mentioned in my previous post, only yesterday, that we'd see our big winter storm sooner rather than later.

well, sooner is here.

it looks like 10 to 15 cm of snow will happen. up to 20 (or possibly, possibly even more) is possible. the prime regions will be:

• any slantwise convection bands
  
• upslope areas like the escarpment
  
• areas in the lee of the lakes (from a northerly flow)
